New version of AsciiConvert

AsciiConvert allows you to reformat and manipulate fixed-width and comma-delimited ASCII text files. For example, if your text file has a column of dates, AsciiConvert can change its format. Or you can make a column of text all caps, or all in lower case. You can re-arrange the order of columns in your text file.

It is difficult to change the structure or formatting of entries in a database such as Microsoft Access. In Access (or any other database), you can export to a comma or tab-delimited text file. Once it's a text file, AsciiConvert is extremely useful in manipulating the data. Once finished, you can import the data back to your database, using your database program.
