New Program: Informatik Xprint

Informatik Xprint will take any printable document or file, and save it to a Tiff or PDF file. It works like a normal print driver. It's simple. You go to File > Print. Select "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" as the printer, and click OK. Give it a file name, and click OK. The document shows up in the Xprint window as a preview. From here, you simply click Save to save it to Tiff or PDF.

New Program: Informatik Deskew

Are some of your scans coming in a little crooked? Are some pages blank? Do your scans have a black border around the edges? Or do they need to be despeckled? If the answer is "yes" to any of these questions, then Informatik Deskew can help. It will take an entire folder, or selected files, and will batch process them. You can batch deskew, despeckle, remove blank pages, and remove black borders all in one process.

New version of AsciiConvert

AsciiConvert allows you to reformat and manipulate fixed-width and comma-delimited ASCII text files. For example, if your text file has a column of dates, AsciiConvert can change its format. Or you can make a column of text all caps, or all in lower case. You can re-arrange the order of columns in your text file.

It is difficult to change the structure or formatting of entries in a database such as Microsoft Access. In Access (or any other database), you can export to a comma or tab-delimited text file. Once it's a text file, AsciiConvert is extremely useful in manipulating the data. Once finished, you can import the data back to your database, using your database program.
